Every August, in celebration of our anniversary, this year marking 3 years, we invite you to join us in Washing Away Hunger. Through this campaign, we raise funds and collect food for the St. Albert Food Bank. It’s more than a fundraiser; it’s a movement of neighbors helping neighbors, one car wash at a time.
The St. Albert Food Bank plays a vital role in supporting families and individuals facing food insecurity in our community. Their mission goes beyond handout, they focus on helping clients regain stability, independence, and hope. As part of the St. Albert Community Village, they offer more than just food. They provide access to programs like financial assistance, a cultural and community kitchen, and infant care support – services that address the root causes of poverty and hunger. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the St. Albert Food Bank through our Wash Away Hunger campaign. Every dollar raised and every can collected goes directly toward heling families right here in St. Albert.
Each year we celebrate our anniversary by committing to building a stronger community across St. Albert. Proudly supported by fellow businesses, community partners, and local organizations, we are helping to increase access to food for hundreds of families, children and older adults. Together, in support of the St. Albert Food Bank, we are creating a more equitable and resilient food system for our communities.
In 2025, Wash Away Hunger created practical solutions for real challenges that will have a lasting impact on our neighbors through your donations. Our combined efforts to relieve hunger raised over $14,400 and collected 875 pounds of food that fed more than 700 families, seniors, and children right here at home.
Through our Wash Away Hunger campaign, we raised $8,946 to assist 647 families (1,883 individuals) and collected donations that helped restock the food bank’s shelves with much-needed supplies.
We know that the need at the St. Albert Food Bank is year-round, not just in August. That’s why, all month long, we’re collecting non-perishable food items at the car wash, and you can also make a monetary donation through our pay station when you purchase your wash.
